MediStuds® are sterile, disposable ear piercing studs engineered specifically for professional ear piercing. The studs and clasps are manufactured with the highest grade surgical stainless steel and plated with pure 24K gold — recommended for its purity and biocompatibility. Each pair is individually blister packed, sterilized, and imprinted with its own lot sterilization number, ensuring a safe, traceable piercing experience every time.
The 16-gauge post diameter is twice that of standard permanent earrings. This wider gauge creates a larger initial hole in the earlobe, allowing easy insertion of permanent earrings after the 6-week healing period. The hole then closes naturally to the size of the permanent earrings within approximately four weeks.
Available in 12 crystal birthstone colors or as a full assortment, MediStuds® are ideal for jewelers and piercing professionals offering ear piercing services. MediStud colored birthstones are simulants and are not genuine stones.
