Description
Description
This hardwood dapping block features 7 round shallow depressions ranging from 1/2″ (13mm) to 1-1/2″ (37mm), giving metalsmiths and jewelers a versatile forming surface for doming and shaping sheet metal. The hardwood construction makes it ideal for use with non-marring tools such as wood, nylon, or leather mallets, helping you work soft non-ferrous metals—including copper, brass, gold, and silver—without scratching or marring the surface.
The block can also serve as a metal clay drying form when the surface is first treated with a waterproof sealer, expanding its usefulness beyond traditional metalsmithing applications.
